Army seizes a truck with dead body near Molake ward of Akyab

Akyab, Arakan State: A truck with a Rakhine dead body was seized by patrol army personnel nearby Akyab University main campus adjacent to Molake Ward on September 29, in the morning, a trader from Akyab said on condition of anonymity.


“On suspicion, the patrol army personnel stop the truck while it was going to nearby Muslim village, searched the truck and found a dead body of a Rakhine. The army brought the truck to their camp with the people where they were detained. The dead body was handed over to the relatives or not, it is unknown.”The dead body was brought to the Akyab university main campus nearby Rohingya village, Amla Para, Mowlake Para to throw it in the compound of university in the intention of that the Rakine was killed by Muslim

အစၥလာမ္သာသနာ ျပန္႔ပြားမွာကို ေၾကာက္ရြံ႔စိုးရိမ္တဲ့ အာဏာရွင္ ဦးေန၀င္းႀကီးဟာ အစၥလာမ္ သာသနာ၀င္ တို႔ကို ႏိုင္ငံသား တိုင္းရင္းသား အခြင့္အေရး မရႏိုင္ဘို႔ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္နဲ႔ ၁၉၈၂ ခုႏွစ္ လူ၀င္မႈ ဥေပဒကို တစ ကိုယ္ေတာ္ အမိန္႔အာဏာနဲ႔ ျပဌာန္း ခဲ့ပါတယ္။


ဥပေဒ တစ္ရပ္ကို ျပဌာန္းလို႔ အဲ့ဒီ ဥပေဒဟာ ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ တစ္ခုလံုးမွာ ရွိတဲ့ လူသားအားလံုး အေပၚမွာ တန္းတူ ညီမွ် သက္ေရာက္မႈ ရွိရင္- ျမန္မာ မြတ္ဆလင္မ်ား အေနနဲ႔ သေဘာ မတူညီစရာ အေၾကာင္းမရွိပါ။


ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံထဲကို အဂၤလိပ္ ကိုလုိနီေခတ္ကမွ ၀င္လာခဲ့တဲ့ အိႏၵိယမ်ိဳးႏြယ္ သို႔မဟုတ္ အိႏၵိယ ကျပား မြတ္ဆလင္ မ်ားအေနနဲ႔လည္း ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ရဲ႔ ဥပေဒတစ္ရပ္ ျဖစ္လို႔ အျပစ္ဆိုေနစရာ အေၾကာင္းမရွိပါ။ ဒါေပမယ့္- အဲ့ဒီ ဥပေဒဟာ မြတ္ဆလင္မွအပ အျခား ဘယ္လူမ်ိဳးကိုမွ မသက္ေရာက္တဲ့ အျပင္- မြတ္ဆလင္ မွန္ရင္၊ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမွာ ဘုရင္မင္း အဆက္ဆက္ ေနထိုင္ခစားခဲ့သူ မ်ားကိုပင္- စီစစ္မႈ မရွိဘဲ ၁၈၂၄ ေနာက္ပိုင္းမွ ၀င္လာသူမ်ား အျဖစ္ သတ္မွတ္လိုက္ပါေတာ့တယ္။

ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ မိရိုးဖလာ လူမ်ားစုႀကီးက ဘုန္းႀကီး သကၤန္းျမင္ရင္ မသိစိတ္ကကိုယ္ ေၾကာက္ရြံ႔ရိုက်ိဳးၿပီး ျဖစ္ ေနခဲ့တယ္။ သာသနာ ့၀န္ေဆာင္မ်ားကို ေလးစားၾကည္ညိဳ တန္ဘိုး ထားတတ္တဲ့ ဓေလ့ဟာ အလြန္ေကာင္း ပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္- အေျခခံ လူထုႀကီးရဲ႔ ဒီလို ရိုးသားမႈႀကီးကို အားနည္းခ်က္ အျဖစ္ အသံုးခ်ၿပီး လုပ္စားတဲ့ လူ လိမ္လူေကာက္- “ေခြးၿမီးေကာက္ ဘေအး”လို လူမ်ိဳးကလည္း အမ်ားႀကီးပါ။

ဖဲရိုက္၊ အရက္ေသာက္၊ သားမယားအေပၚမွာ အႏိုင္က်င့္- ဆိုးခ်င္တိုင္းဆိုး၊ ရမ္းခ်င္တိုင္းရမ္း-- ေအာ့ေၾကာ့လန္ လူႀကီး တစ္ေယာက္ မနက္ျဖန္ ဘုန္းႀကီး၀တ္လိုက္တာနဲ႔-၊ ေရွ႔က လူျပဳက်င့္ခဲ့သမွ် ပေပ်ာက္သြား ပါေတာ့တယ္။ ရိုးရိုးသားသား တရားေနာင္တ ရလို႔ သာသနာ့ ေဘာင္ကို ၀င္သြားသူက ၁ ရာႏႈန္း ၉၉ လုပ္စားဘို႔ သာသနာကို အသံုးခ်တဲ့ သူက ၉၉ ရာႏႈန္း ျဖစ္ေနတယ္--၊ (ဒါကို ဗုဒၶဘာသာမ်ား ကိုယ္တုိင္လည္း သိေနပါတယ္။)

ထို႔အတူ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံအတြင္းမွ ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာ လူမ်ိဳးမ်ားသည္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသား ျဖစ္သည္။ သူတို႔ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ အေနာက္ပိုင္း ေမယုျမစ္၀ွမ္းေဒသမွ ဌာေန လူမ်ိဳး ျဖစ္သည္။ သူတို႔အား ဘဂၤလီမ်ားဟု သမုတ္၍ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမွ ေမာင္းထုတ္ခြင့္ မရွိေခ်။

PORT KLANG (Sept 26, 2012): A ship carrying 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees set sail for Myanmar yesterday.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, in flagging off the Sinar Bima commercial vessel at Northport, said the humanitarian mission was a responsibility for Malaysia as a neighbour to Myanmar and Asean member.

Conference "On the Plight of Rohingyas: Solutions" Successfully Ended Yesterday

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia- the Conference on “On the Plight of Rohingyas: Solutions” organized by Perdana Global Peace Foundation (PGPF- Malaysia) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia successfully ended today, 17th September 2012. The conference began at 9:00 AM with the Keynote Speech of the honorable Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the fourth prime minister of Malaysia and President of PGPF. It was followed by panel discussions among Academicians, Human Rights Workers, NGOs and Civil Society Members.

[Author’s Note: Keynote speech delivered at the International Conference on “Contemplating Burma’s Rohingya People’s Future in Reconciliation and (Democratic) Reform,” held on August 15, 2012 at the Thammasat University, Bangkok.]

As a conscientious global citizen of our planet, I have been writing for the past 32 years since my days as a university student on a plethora of issues, which include history, culture and civilization of the peoples of the South Asia and the Middle East. I have also studied and written on international politics, human rights and terrorism. In my decades of studies I have not found a people that are more persecuted than the Rohingyas of Myanmar, or what used to be called Burma.

ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာလူမ်ိဳး မ်ား ဘဂၤလီမဟုတ္ | ေစာလြင္ ( ရန္ကုန္တကၠသုိလ္)

ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာမ်ားသည္ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံအေနာက္ဘက္ Arakan Region ယခုအေခၚ ရခုိင္ေဒသတြင္ဘုိးဘြားစဥ္ဆက္ ေနထုိင္လာခဲ့ေသာ တုိင္းရင္းသားလူမ်ိဳးစု တစ္စုျဖစ္သည္ကုိ သမုိင္း အေထာက္အထားမ်ား အရ မည္သူမွ်ျငင္း ၍မရပါ။

ယေန႔ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံ ဦးသန္းစိန္အစုိးရမွ ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာသည္ ဘဂၤလီလူမ်ိဳးျဖစ္သည္။ ဘဂၤလာေဒခ့်္မွ ခုိးဝင္လာသူမ်ား သုိ႔တည္းမဟုတ္ က်ဴးေက်ာ္လာသူမ်ား သုိ႔တည္းမဟုတ္ စိမ့္ဝင္လာသူမ်ား အစရွိသျဖင့္ ေျပာဆုိေန သည္ကုိေတြ႔ရပါသည္။ ႏုိင္ငံတကာမွ ဖိအားေပးလာလွ်င္ မတတ္သာ၍ ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာမ်ား ေျပာရမည့္အစား ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာ ႏွင့္တြဲ၍ ဘဂၤလီကုိ အသုံးျပဳလာသည္ကုိ ေတြ႔ရျပန္သည္။ ဤသုိ႔ အသုံးျပဳလာရျခင္းမွာ ရုိးသားစြာေျပာဆုိျခင္းမဟုတ္ပဲ ေကာက္က်စ္၍ ေျပာဆုိေနၾကာင္း အဓိပၸါယ္ ေဆာင္ေနပါသည္။ အဘယ္ေၾကာင့္ဆုိေသာ္ လူမ်ိဳးအမ်ိဳး၏ အမည္သည္ အမည္ႏွစ္ခုလုံးဝ မျဖစ္ႏုိင္ပဲ တစ္မ်ိဳးသာျဖစ္ရမည္။ ရွမ္းလူမ်ိဳးမ်ားကုိၾကည့္လွ်င္ တရုတ္ႏုိင္ငံမွာ ရွိသကဲ့သုိ႔ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံတြင္လည္းရွိသည္။ ေမာဂ္လူမ်ိဳး ရခုိင္မ်ားသည္ ဘဂၤလားေဒခ့်္ႏုိင္ငံတြင္ ရွိသကဲ့သုိ႔ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံတြင္လည္း ရခုိင္လူမ်ိဳးမ်ားရွိသည္။ ထုိသူတုိ႔အား တရုတ္မွာ ျဖစ္ေစ၊ ဘဂၤလားေဒခ်္႔မွာျဖစ္ေစ၊ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံမွာျဖစ္ေစ မည္သည့္အရပ္ေဒသမဆုိ ရွမ္းလူမ်ိဳးသည္ ရွမ္း လူမ်ိဳး၊ ေမာဂ္လူမ်ိဳး (ယခုအေခၚ ရခုိင္)လူမ်ိဳးသည္ ရခုိင္လူမ်ိဳးပါပဲ။၊ ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာသည္ ဘဂၤလီလူမ်ိဳးမဟုတ္၊ ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာသည္ ရုိဟင္ဂ်ာျဖစ္သည္။ ဗမာလူမ်ိဳးတေယာက္သည္ ထုိင္းႏုိင္ငံသြားေနထုိင္လွ်င္ ဗမာထုိင္းလူမ်ိဳးျဖစ္သြားပါမည္ေလာ။

၂၀၁၂ ဇြန္လ အတြင္းမွာ ျဖစ္ခဲ့တဲ့ ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္ထဲက ရိုဟင္ဂ်င္ မ်ိဳးျပဳတ္သုတ္သင္ေရး စီမံခ်က္ကို ျမန္မာအစိုးပိုင္းက အပိုင္ႀကံခဲ့တာပါ။- ကမၻာက ၀ိုင္းလိုက္လာေတာ့-၊ ဒီလို မဟုတ္ရပါ၊ မြတ္ဆလင္ လူငယ္တစ္ (သံုးေယာက္)က ရခိုင္ဗုဒၶဘာသာ အမ်ိဳးသမီးငယ္ တစ္ဦးကို လူမဆန္စြာ ပစၥည္းလု မုဒိန္း က်င့္သတ္ျဖတ္ခဲ့တာက လူထုေဒါသ အံုႂကြၿပီး ျဖစ္ရတာပါလို႔- ကမၻာကို အံတုေျပာဆိုေနပါတယ္။

ေတာင္ကုတ္ၿမိဳ႔က လူသတ္မႈဟာလည္း အဲ့ဒီက ဆက္ကူးလာတဲ့ ပေရာဂ ေလာင္စာမီး ျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ ဆိုျပန္ပါတယ္။--။ ၿပီးေတာ့ မြတ္ဆလင္ေတြကို မုဒိန္းေကာင္၊ ရာဇ၀တ္ေကာင္မ်ားလိုလို ဒီေန႔ထိ ေျပာ ဆိုေနပါေသးတယ္။---

ROHINGYAS in Malaysia are claiming that media reports on the death toll in the Arakan region of Myanmar are grossly inaccurate, saying thousands of Rohingya villagers have become casualties of the growing unrest.

Contractor Abul Kasim, 34. who has been staying in Malaysia for the past 10 years, said the reported numbers were played down by the Myanmar authorities.

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is going through a deep crisis in dealing with ethnic conflicts, especially in its western Rakhine (formerly Arakan) state. To find probable solutions to the existing problems, Arakan Rohingya Organization - Japan (JARO) and Rohingya National Organization in Thailand (RNOT) jointly sponsored an International Rohingya Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

The theme of the conference was “Contemplating Burma’s Rohingya People’s Future in Reconciliation and (Democratic) Reform.”

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Thursday he hoped that former Vice President Jusuf Kalla would be willing to become the country’s special envoy on the Rohingya issue. 

“I hope that Mr. JK, with his extensive experience, can become our special envoy, so that Indonesia’s solidarity and attention on the humanitarian issue of the Rohingya is accurate, does not give rise to misunderstanding for Myanmar but also helps our Rohingnya brothers and sisters,” Yudhoyono said. 

The president spoke after meeting Kalla, who came as chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to discuss the Rohingnya issue.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Global Peace Malaysia (GPM) distributed humanitarian aid amounting to RM250,000 this week to the ethnic Rohingya minority who are experiencing a humanitarian crisis in Arakan, Myanmar.

The mission was led by GPM president Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman who distributed the donations collected through the Ramadan Iftar Fund campaign, with the cooperation of the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM).

BANGKOK — Burma's human rights commission says there is no need for an investigation into the communal violence between Buddhists and Muslim Rohingya that broke out in June. 

The refusal comes as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation says it will take up the Burmese government’s handling of the unrest with the U.N. Security Council.

MECCA: The Islamic summit decided Thursday to take the issue of Myanmar's Muslim Rohingyas, displaced by deadly sectarian violence, to the United Nations.

At a meeting in the holy city of Mecca the 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned "the continued recourse to violence by the Myanmar authorities against the members of this minority and their refusal to recognise their right to citizenship."

"The summit has decided to bring this matter before the General Assembly of the United Nations," it said in a final statement.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (Bernama) -- Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has urged Islamic nations to jointly play a role to help end the misery of the Muslim Rohingyas in Myanmar.

The former prime minister said Malaysian efforts alone could not solve the problem.

"Nevertheless, if the effort comes from all Muslims, Islamic nations and other countries, I am confident the United Nations (UN) will take action to save the Rohingyas," he told reporters after a symbolic handing over of clean water through the `WaqafWater4Gaza' here today.

The lives and survival of Rohingyas of Kyauktaw are much in the hands of local Rakhines and authorities. Generally, these people were never heard about UN Organizations. Aid groups and INGOs too have informal contact with Rohingyas of this region. 

Since the beginning of riot in Arakan, about 170 houses and 3 mosques including an ancient mosque plus bans, huts, haystacks, crops of 7 Rohingya villages were completely destructed by burning and destruction by Rakhine people. About hundred of Rohingya were killed during the riot and dozens taken away were never returned. The crisis is not yet over, about 10,000 Rohingyas are still shelter-less and dying at least 1 to 3 persons on daily basis due to lack of food and medic. (more detail)

"To claim that the Rohingyas of Burma are outsiders or intruders or mujahids is not an analysis, but a paralysis of one’s wits that cannot decipher the truth from falsehood. And hatred will keep one close minded, unwilling to objectively analyze matters. That is the sad reality with most Rakhine politicians and charlatan scholars like Mr. Win who have no problem borrowing pages from the fascist Nazi era to ethnically cleanse the Rohingyas of Burma."

Last week, I came across Kanbawza Win's long article – “Killing two birds with a stone or a Win, Win Situation” (Eurasia Review, July 19, 2012) [1] – discussing his thesis for solving the Rohingya crisis in western Burma. As a global citizen who has worked for decades to make our world a more inclusive one away from the brunt of racism and bigotry, I could not resist the temptation to read Mr. Win’s piece. After all, Mr. Win is part of the so-called pro-democracy movement for Burma. He has been critical of the military regime that has been ruling Burma. He is also considered by many to be the voice of reason within the Burmese exiles.

လူေကာင္းတစ္ဦး ေကာင္းမြန္စြာ ျပဳလုပ္ထားတဲ့ အလုပ္တစ္ ခုကို ဖ်က္လိုဖ်က္ဆီး လုပ္ပစ္တာမ်ိဳးကို ဗမာ စကားမွာ “လက္ နဲ႔ေရးတာ ေျခနဲ႔ဖ်က္တယ္”လို႔ ေျပာဆိုတယ္။ ဒီလို အလုပ္မ်ိဳးကို လုပ္ေဆာင္သူမ်ားက လူရိုး လူေကာင္းမ်ား မဟုတ္ပါ။

အခုတစ္ေလာ အုတ္ေအာ္ေသာင္းနင္း ျဖစ္ေနတဲ့ “ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ နဲ႔ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာအေရး”မွာ လူႀကီးလူေကာင္း ဆိုသူ မ်ားကိုယ္တိုင္ ကဒီအမႈမ်ိဳးကို အားရပါးရ က်ဴးလြန္ေနၾကတာမ်ား ေတြ႔ရပါ တယ္။

ထိုင္းနယ္စပ္ နယ္စပ္၊ တရုတ္နယ္စပ္က ေတာ္လွန္ ေရးအုပ္စု ထဲက ေခါင္းေဆာင္ တစ္ခ်ိဳ႔ကလည္း ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာ မိမိဘာမွမသိ တဲ့ရခိုင္ ျပည္နယ္က လူမ်ိဳးစု ျပသနာမ်ားမွာ အမ်ား ႀကိဳက္ လိုက္ေလွ်ာ ဆင္ေျခမွားနဲ႔ သံေယာင္ လိုက္ၿပီး “ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာ” ဆိုတာ မရွိဘူး ဘာညာ ထေျပာတာေတြလည္း ရွိေသးတယ္။ အဲ့ဒီ အထဲက ေခါင္းေဆာင္ဆိုသူ တစ္ခ်ိဳ႔ကို “ရခိုင္ ျပည္နယ္မွာ လူမ်ိဳး ဘယ္ႏွစ္မ်ိဳးရွိသလဲ၊ လူမ်ိဳးတစ္မ်ိဳး စီက ဘယ္ေဒသေတြမွာ ေနထိုင္သလဲ၊ သူတို႔ရဲ႔ ဓေလ့ စရိုက္က ဘာေတြလဲ၊”လို႔ ေမးလိုက္ရင္- တစ္စြန္း တစ္မွမသိ၊ ပါးစပ္ဟေနၿပီး-၊

ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ အေနာက္ပိုင္း ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္ မွာလက္ တေလာ ျဖစ္ေပၚေနတဲ. ဘာသာေရး လူမ်ိဳးေရး အၾကမ္းဖက္တိုက္ခိုက္မွဳမ်ားေၾကာင္႔ တိုင္းျပည္ရဲ႕ ဒီမိုကေရစီ ေျပာင္းလဲမွဳ အရွိန္ကို မ်ားစြာထိခိုက္ ေစပါတယ္။ ဒီလို ဗုဒၶဘာသာ၀င္မ်ားနဲ႔ ရိုဟင္ ဂ်ာမြတ္စလင္လူမ်ိဳးစု မ်ားအၾကား အၾကမ္းဖက္ တိုက္ခိုက္မွဳမ်ားေၾကာင္႔ ဒါဇင္နဲ႔ခ်ီ လူမ်ားေသဆံုးျပီး၊ လူေသာင္းနဲ႔ခ်ီ အိုးမဲ႔အိမ္မဲ႔ျဖစ္ ခဲ႔ၾကရပါတယ္။ ဒီအျဖစ္အပ်က္ဟာဆိုရင္ အဆိုးရြားဆံုး လူမ်ိဳးေရး အၾကမ္းဖက္တိုက္ခိုက္မွဳၾကီး တစ္ရပ္ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

ဦးေဌးလြင္ဦး တစ္ေယာက္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးဘ၀ႏွင့္ ႏိုင္ငံေရး အျငင္းပြားမႈမ်ားကို ပါယ္သတ္လွ်က္ ဘာသာေရးနယ္ထဲ တြင္သာ ေျခခ်ခဲ့သည္မွာ ရာသီ သံုးပတ္လည္ခဲ့ၿပီ။ လက္ရွိ ျဖစ္တည္ေနေသာ ႏိုင္ငံေရးႏွင့္ ထိုႏိုင္ငံေရးေပၚ မွီတည္လွ်က္ ျဖစ္ေပၚေနေသာ လူမ်ိဳးေရးမ်ား၌ ၀င္ေရာက္စြက္ဖက္ ေျပာလို ျခင္းမရွိ၊ ဆိတ္ဆိတ္ေနခဲ့သည္က မ်ားသည္။ သို႔ေသာ္ မေျပာမၿပီး၊ မတီးမျမည္ ကိစၥမ်ားက ဦးေဌးလြင္ဦး၏ အနားမွ ျဖတ္သန္းသြားလာေနသည္ မ်ားေနသျဖင့္ “ပထ၀ီ ႏိုင္ငံေရးႏွင့္ လူ” ဟူသည္ကို ေျပာရေတာ့မည္ ျဖစ္ေတာ့သည္။

ကၽြႏု္ပ္သည္ ရခိုင္မိဘမွ ေမြးဘြားလာခဲ့ေသာ ရခိုင္လူမ်ိဳး တစ္ဦးျဖစ္သည္။ ကၽြႏ္ုပ္တို႔ ေမြးဘြားႀကီးျပင္းလာရာ တစ္ေလွ်ာက္တြင္ ပတ္၀န္းက်င္၌ ရခိုင္၊ ဗမာႏွင့္ ခ်င္းလူမ်ိဳးမ်ားသာ ရွိခဲ့သည္။ ထိုေဒသ ထိုပတ္၀န္းက်င္တြင္ ကမန္လူမ်ိဳး၊ ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာလူမ်ိဳး ဟူ၍ မၾကားဘူးခဲ့- မခံစားမိခဲ့ေခ်။ နယ္နမိတ္အားျဖင့္ ေျပာရလွ်င္ ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္ ေတာင္ပိုင္း- သံတြဲၿမိဳ႔မွ- ဂြၿမိဳ႔နယ္၏ အဆံုး ေက်ာက္ခၽြန္ဆိုေသာ ေက်းရြာ (၎သည္ ဧရာ၀တီတိုင္း သာေပါင္း ၿမိဳ႔နယ္၏ ေျမာက္ပိုင္း ေပါက္လွဂ်ိဳင္ ေက်းရြာႏွင့္ ေခ်ာင္းငယ္တစ္ခု စည္းျခားလွ်က္ ရွိသည္) ထိရွိသမွ်ေသာ လူမ်ိဳးမ်ားသည္ ဘိုးစဥ္ေဘာင္ဆက္ကပင္ မိမိကိုယ္မိမိ ဗမာ ဟုသာ ခံယူခဲ့သည္။
