A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF ARAKAN ROHINGYA COUNCIL MALAYSIA
Arakan Rohingya Council (ARC) is an association which acts for the welfare of Rohingya, Myanmar Muslims and the Ummah. ARC was first initiated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2006 as Kyauktaw Family by some peace and unity-loving people from Kyauktaw (Ancient Dannyawaddy Kingdom), Arakan (Rakhine State), Myanmar (Burma). It is a non-profit and registered organization which is wholly owned by Elom Empowerment sdn. bhd.
ARC is collaborating with various NGOs, INGOs, international and local organizations, Myanmar Muslim organization, and individuals for the development and welfare of Rohingya, Myanmar Muslim and the Ummah. We are willing to cooperate with any of non-violent organizations which are forward looking for the betterment of Muslim Ummah and the world.

OUR KEY ACTIVITIES
- Funding, managing and organizing educational and healthcare programs for the less fortunate people.
- Organizing conference and meeting to find solution and to raise awareness for humanitarian crises.
- Arranging academic, religious and others occasional talks for knowledge sharing.
- Provide emergency relief to the victims of natural disasters and human catastrophes and persecutees.
- Conducting cultural event and community service program for social integration.
- Grant scholarship for the needy students and awarding the excellent students yearly to encourage better academic performances.
- Train, facilitate and empower women, youth and minors for healthier lives and a brighter future.

- Registering undocumented Myanmar refuges in Malaysia and providing food, shelters and self identification card for easy identification in the case of accident and emergency.

OUR ONGOING ACTIVITIES
- Funding for educational program and healthcare development in some parts of Myanmar.
- Managing ARC English Classes for Refugees in Seri Kembangan, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur and Selayang.
- Providing Islamic funeral and burial service for the refugees and needy.
- Cooperating with Himpunan Lepasan Institusi Pendidikan Malaysia (HALUAN) and Nama Foundation to manage and run the Rohingya Community Educare Center at No. 13, 5th Floor, 3 elements, Jalan Prima Tropika, Taman. Prima Tropika, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia.
- Registering undocumented Myanmar refugees in Malaysia and providing food, shelters and self identification cards.
- Providing training for youth empowerment and better employment in Malaysia.
- Documenting the crimes against humanity committed by Myanmar government and disseminating the right news and information about Rohingya and Myanmar.
- Channeling humanitarian aid to the refugees, needy and victims of natural disaster in Malaysia, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
- Distribution of Zakat and Sadaqah from abroad to the neediest people in Myanmar.
- Qurban and Aqiqah service managing.
WHAT WE ARE PLANING TO DO
- To operate a healthcare center in Myanmar for the people who are denied to get medical treatment from government hospitals and restricted to go out from own villages.
- To build up an education center in Myanmar for the people who are not allowed to join Government University for their further studies and subjected to various restrictions and persecutions.
- To open a community development and youth empowerment center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to educate the refugees and to keep them away from unlawful activities.
- To grant scholarships to Rohingya and Myanmar Muslims students who are incapable to pay expenses and intent to acquire higher education in Malaysia.
- To upgrade our office’s facilities so that we can expand our activities and provide maximum benefits to the ones in need.

The followings are a brief list of how you can support us and what kind of assistant you can provide us to get our work done.
- Fund us for continuous support of our educational program and healthcare development project in Myanmar.
- Equip us in registering undocumented Myanmar refuges in Malaysia, and cooperate with us for providing food, shelters and self identification card to the refugees.
- Be our partner to operate healthcare centers in Myanmar for the people of the world most persecuted.
- Take part in building up an education center in Myanmar for the people who are not allowed to join Government University for their further studies.
- Make our dream comes true, to open a community development and youth empowerment center in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia.
- Provide scholarship to Myanmar Muslim and Rohingya students.
- Upgrade our office’s facilities and manage the expenses of our office so that we can expand our activities and provide maximum benefits to the ones in need.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
- Continuously funding for Excellent Students Award Function in Myanmar since 2007.
- Funded Myanmar Kyat 5,000,000 to build up a Primary School in Myanmar in 2010.
- Sent aid to the fire victims in the rural part of Myanmar amounting Myanmar Kyat 10,000,000 in 2010.
- Built a primary school in Myanmar where the government support is limited, costing Myanmar Kyat 9,000,000 in 2012.
- Sent aid to internal displaced people in Arakan, Myanmar worth Myanmar Kyat 10,000,000 in 2012.
- Supporting yearly for RM 20,000 since 2013 for educational development in some parts of Myanmar where government’s teacher refuses to teach the children for being racially different.
- Collaborating with local organizations and individuals to manage and run 33 Primary Schools, 6 Secondary Schools and 2 High Schools, in which approximately 16,000 Rohingya students are studying and no government’s teacher is provided since 2013.
- Funded Myanmar Kyat 4,000,000 for the construction of one of the Primary Schools in Myanmar in 2017.
Note: Even though, we only involve in lawful activities, we cannot disclose all of the information about what we have done in Myanmar for the security concern of the beneficiaries. The required information will be given to the trusted body if it is necessary to do so.
